Neale is a painter of land, sea and sky’scapes. He is always looking for natural scenes whose shapes, colors and moods challenge him to interpret them in oils.
Having spent most of his life in Pennsylvania, Neale is fascinated by the beauty of the Oregon coast and the Willamette Valley. The dual seasons here, one muted and grey, one bright and sunny, give Neale the opportunity to explore two, varied pallets of colors and two distinctly different styles of painting.
Light is the single most important aspect of painting to Neale. The works of Claude Monet, Joaquin Sorolla, and American impressionists, Fran Cuprien, Edgar Payne, Granville Redmond and Walter Scofield have been his greatest sources of inspiration.
Neale is pleased to take on commissions of your favorite scenes.
