As someone who has long foraged these lands and fished by river and sea, Dana notices diving pelicans, promising berry blossoms, and signs of coming mushroom harvests and then thinks in movement, color and light. When Dana paints she sees through eyes that read the authentic language of tide, season and shore. Each brushstroke translates this earned familiarity and wisdom and each panel created is uplifted to more than art but rather offers an invitation to immerse in the experience of the coast.
