Darlene Anderson
Painter
Darlene was raised in the fishing village of Garibaldi Oregon. She was often on the beach with a stick, drawing in the sand. Or, would find a piece of sandstone and draw pictures with it, on the hard granite jetty. Drawing and being creative was a passion, even as a child.
Darlene put her dreams to be an artist, to the wayside, to raise a family and become a commercial truck driver. But, the dream of being an artist never faded. After driving truck for nearly forty years, Darlene retired in 2015, to pursue her desire to become an artist.
"I love that I can share what I see and feel, in my art. Every painting I create has a piece of my heart in it. The feeling I get when someone wants to have one of my pieces hanging in their home, is so incredibly touching and meaningful to me."
"I'm grateful every day for the opportunity to create".
