For Karen, her art embodies a bit of chaos and a lot of fun. While she does not restrict the types of materials she uses, her primary materials are a variety of clays as well as fibers that she spins herself. She combines materials with dashes of imagination and touches of weird to create her sculptural pieces.

Karen's goal is to freely incorporate her materials into a variety of pieces while not feeling pressured to feature one material over another, even if the end result makes no sense. For her, 'normal' is not nearly as fun.
