A lifelong painter, Diane’s art is inspired by nature. Living near Pacific City, she explores seascapes and landscapes, committing to canvas the dance between land, sea, and sky as they interact with each other. By capturing the shapes and colors, light and shadows, and the myriad details and gestures of nature she strives to give texture and meaning to the larger context of their environment.
While Diane has worked in a variety of media, she feels that acrylics and watercolor capture the sense of time, place, and form she intends to convey. She graduated in art from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She was also a member of the South West Florida Water Color Society, participating in many of their juried shows. More recently, her work has been shown at the Chessman Gallery in Lincoln City and the Runyon Gallery in Newport.
