Diane Devens is an acrylic and watercolor painter who is inspired by nature and focuses on the endless aspects of seascapes, landscapes and natural studies. She graduated from Wilson College in Pennsylvania, with a BA, and began running Arts and Crafts Centers for the Army. After almost 40 years of Federal Service, during which she received her MA in Public Administration, in 2019 she moved from Europe to the Oregon coast, where she and her husband, Guy, now reside near Pacific City. As a painter she tends to realism and works to achieve the tones and the senses of times of day and night and the places where sky, land and water meet. That said, she is experimenting with abstract painting and is looking forward to broadening the scope of her work.
